Fans have been waiting for a new Splinter Cell game since 2013’s Blacklist, and now it looks like those hopes may finally be realized. It appears as though GameStop may have leaked that a new Splinter Cell game will be announced during Ubisoft’s E3 2019 press conference on Monday, June 10.
As spotted by Wario64 on Twitter, GameStop listed replica Sam Fisher Goggles for sale on its website for $39.99, listing them as an “E3 collectible.” GameStop then delisted the goggles, leading to speculation that they were added to the website in error. It seems odd for GameStop to sell new Splinter Cell merchandise if a new game in the series isn’t going to be announced, especially if the goggles are supposed to be an “E3 collectible.
