This is becoming all too common now. Inside Seattle’s Capitol Hill Occupied Protest (CHOP, formerly CHAZ), there was another shooting yesterday. That came on the heels of two shootings on Saturday, one of which left a local man dead. And who is responding to these attacks? One person was wounded in what was the second shooting in Seattle’s protest zone in less than 48 hours, police said.
The shooting happened late Sunday night in the area near Seattle’s downtown that is known as CHOP, for “Capitol Hill Occupied Protest,” police tweeted, adding that one person was at a hospital with a gunshot wound.
The person arrived in a private vehicle and was in serious condition, Harborview Medical Center spokesperson Susan Gregg said in a statement.

But when the Fire Department arrived at the CHOP they were directed to a “staging area” outside the perimeter. They were then informed that the shooting victim had already been removed from the area and taken to a local hospital in a private car.
Is this the sort of “service” that law-abiding residents trapped inside the CHOP zone can come to expect? Stop and think about this scenario for a moment. Instead of being loaded into an ambulance with a trained medical technician providing treatment, they are dumped in the back seat of somebody’s automobile and driven to the hospital.
