John Thune, despite being the second-ranking Republican in the Senate, keeps a pretty low profile nationally.
„You know these polls are a snapshot in time, and the electorate, as we know, can be very fluid,“ said Thune. „But I do think it’s a message that, you know, there needs to be certainly a change in probably strategy as far as the White House’s messaging is concerned.“
Thune is 100% correct — at least if Trump’s goal is to win a second term in November.
A new New York Times/Siena College poll released Wednesday showed former Vice President Joe Biden ahead of Trump by 14 points. That’s the third straight national survey to show Biden with a double-digit lead over Trump.
