Training camps open in the next week.
In an apparent coordinated Twitter barrage Sunday, top players from across the NFL called on the league to enhance its coronavirus safety protocols, just a day before some players are set to report to preseason training camps, warning that the current measures threaten whether a full season could actually be played.
The NFL is planning a much different setup than the widely-publicized NBA “bubble,” where all teams are in a central location with strictly restricted access. Instead, the NFL plans to operate largely as it would have. The plan is for teams to conduct training camps over the next several weeks ahead of the season opening in September.
