Another Livingston County resident has died after contracting COVID-19 as the local case count ticks closer to 1,000, according to county health officials. As of Wednesday, there have been 29 deaths, including 28 confirmed deaths and one probable death reported in the county since March. The new death was confirmed Tuesday. „The death was of an elderly gentleman who had an underlying health condition and was reported on August 18th,“ Livingston County Health Department spokesperson Natasha Radke wrote Thursday in an email to Livingston Daily Press & Argus. The death was the first reported in the county since June. Most deaths in the county have been people over the age of 70. Fourteen were in their 80s and 12 were in their 70s, according to county health officials. One person in their 60s and two people in their 50s have died.
