What a week. Between the political drama, celebrity drama and world health drama that has covered our TV screens, it is all too much! We need a break, and we know exactly how to take it: binging out to movies and shows on streaming, of course! Thankfully, there are a plethora of new movies and shows to watch this weekend that will keep us away from the news channels for as long as we’d like. But now to figure out what to watch, hmmm. Well don’t make steam come out your ears, because that is what we at Decider are here for! Whether you’re scrolling through Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, HBO or all of the above, we believe that starting with the newest and hottest titles is the best way to go. And with any luck, these highlights will help you decide what to watch and where to stream it this weekend. We weren’t stretching the truth when we said there are a plethora of new titles to stream this weekend, so putting together these highlights was a harder task than usual! But enough prattle, let’s begin: Netflix is packing all the punches this weekend with original content like sci-fi action film Project Power, brand-new dramedy series Teenage Bounty Hunters, the fourth and final season of 3% and much more. Over on Amazon Prime Video you can embark on an adventure into new lands through the Bear Grylls competition series, World’s Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji. And on Disney+ you will fall in love with an adorable gorilla through its new original film, The One and Only Ivan! Hulu may not be coming out with original content, but you will for sure be entertained for hours on end through shows like Chopped, Property Brothers, Caribbean Life and much more. We could keep raving about the impressive titles new on streaming this weekend, but instead we will shut up and let you check them out below: Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt star in Project Power, the sci-fi action flick that is new on Netflix this month. The film is set in New Orleans and follows an ex-soldier, a teen and a cop who collide while on the hunt for a dangerous new drug that grants the user temporary superpowers. But as Peter Parker knows, great power comes with great responsibility, yet Art, Frank and Robin are pretty sure whoever gains these powers aren’t using them in good faith. Will they find source of the new pill and get it under control before all hell breaks loose? Find out in Project Power, one of the top movies to watch this month on Netflix.
