Spectators at this year’s version of the Newport Beach Film Festival will be in seats fitting for a story of adventure based on an epic road trip: They’ll be in their cars, along for the ride. But this week it was announced there would be only one spotlight screening – the world premier of “A Life of Endless Summers: The Bruce Brown Story” – amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic restrictions.
