(Tribune News Service) — A Texas man upset at the death of U. S. Army Spc. Vanessa Guillen wrote on Facebook that he was “close” to being an active shooter at Fort Hood, Texas, according to police.
Mario Eloy Pena, 48, was arrested Saturday and was charged with making a terroristic threat on suspicion of having threatened to “shoot up” the Army post.
Pena, whose wife reported his posts to police, said he was “upset and wanted to retaliate for Vanessa Guillen’s murder in Fort Hood Base,” according to an affidavit obtained by KSAT.
