YouTube said it is removing videos that falsely claim widespread voter fraud or errors changed the outcome of the U.S. election.
YouTube announced Wednesday it would remove any new videos alleging widespread voter fraud or errors changed the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. The move follows Tuesday’s for states to certify their election results. President Trump and his allies have repeatedly questioned the outcome of the 2020 election, trying with little success to challenge President-elect Joe Biden’s win through the courts. Last week, Attorney General William Barr the Justice Department had not found evidence to support Mr. Trump’s claims. YouTube said in a blog post that it has removed more than 8,000 channels and thousands of „harmful and misleading“ videos about the election since September.
