Raleigh, N.C. — On Monday, a procession of fire engines and police cars will escort the body of a Raleigh firefighter killed in a weekend crash to a funeral home. Lieutenant Herman Gregory Ellis was killed in a crash around noon on Sunday at Six Forks Road and Interstate 540 in Raleigh, according to Division Chief Lowell Smith.
