Disney has released a dark and dramatic first look at Emma Stone as the titular role in Cruella ahead of tomorrow’s official trailer premiere for the highly anticipated film. The new movie, which has been in the works for at least two years now, is finally making its way to audiences after being delayed by the coronavirus pandemic. Cruella tells the story of the 101 Dalmatians villain Cruella de Vil in a live-action origin story that brings the infamous character to life for a new generation of fans. While Disney hasn’t released much information about the film, it’s rumored to follow the notorious villain in her earlier years as a fashion designer in London. In today’s movie poster for Cruella, Stone poses in character with Cruella’s trademark black and white hair, complete with smudged eye makeup, dark lipstick and a beauty mark on her cheek. The first glimpse at Stone as Cruella is drumming up excitement amongst fans, who have plenty of questions about the new movie.
