Code within the latest developer preview of Android 12 suggests the Pixel 5 and the upcoming Google Pixel 5a and could share a processor.
We know for certain that a new “a” series Pixel is on the way, to be known as the Google Pixel 5a 5G. However, other than the fact that it exists and looks a lot like the Pixel 4a 5G, we don’t know much else. That may have changed today. Thanks to some Android 12 DP 3 code sleuthing from 9to5Google, it looks like the Pixel 5a could have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G under the hood.
