LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — As businesses are reopening and films are vying for awards, movie theaters are still struggling to keep customers. At the Oscars Sunday night, one actress made a plea for people to return to movie theaters at a time some experts are calling a make or break for the industry. “One day very soon, take everyone you know into a theater shoulder to shoulder in that dark space and watch every film that’s represented here tonight,” said 2021 Best Actress winner Frances McDormand.
