Police in Gorham, Maine, are investigating the accident and not releasing the names of the victim or the driver.
A 3-year-old boy in Maine died on Wednesday evening after he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 13-year-old girl. Gorham Police Chief Christopher Sanborn told Newsweek that the incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. and that a report came in of a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. The accident occurred near the Tamarack Circle at the Friendly Village Mobile Home Park in Gorham. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered that the pedestrian involved in the crash was a 3-year-old. „The boy was pronounced deceased on scene by Gorham Rescue,“ Sanborn said. The chief said that the person driving was a 13-year-old female and that she was the only occupant of the vehicle, which was identified as a 2012 black GMC Terrain.
