Microsoft is developing a fix for a common issue plaguing the OS that migrates all open programs to a single display after waking from sleep.
Windows 10 users who utilize two or more monitors on their setup may have encountered a problem when waking their device from sleep mode, finding that any open tabs and programs that were previously neatly arranged are now crammed onto a single display. Microsoft is now working on a fix for this issue on the Microsoft Windows Insider Program, with the full update planned for rollout to mainstream Windows 10 in late 2021. If you’re a member of the Insider Program then you’ll have access to build 21287 or above, and the monitor-migrating problem appears to be completely fixed when running these newer builds.
