A suspicious package containing white powder delivered to Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-Ky.) home is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Capitol Hill police. According to a senior adviser to the senator, Sergio Gor, a large envelope was sent to Paul’s home and is being examined for harmful substances, as Politico reports. The person who sent the package is unknown. Paul released a statement responding to the matter, “I take these threats immensely seriously.
