The team’s head coach said the player could have had chicken nuggets instead
A Jewish high school football player in Ohio alleges several coaches forced him to eat pork, which violates his religious beliefs. The school’s head football coach, two of his assistants and a baseball coach who works in the school’s weight room have been removed from their positions as a result of that allegation, the Canton Repository reports. The five-member Canton City Board of Education also voted unanimously to make three other assistant football coaches ineligible for future coaching positions.
