A British police officer has pleaded guilty to killing Sarah Everard, a 33-year-old English woman who was snatched while she walked home from a friend’s south London apartment earlier this year. Wayne Couzens entered his plea via video during a hearing at London’s Central Criminal Court. Last month, the officer confessed to kidnapping and raping Everard, who vanished around 9 p.m. on March 3. The young marketing executive was headed back to her Brixton home from Clapham, London at the time —a journey that should have taken just 50 minutes.
