Workers at RWJBarnabas Health system discovered something else COVID-19 vaccines protect against — unemployment. The New Jersey hospital group cut ties with six workers in senior roles this week due to those employees’ failure to comply with the company’s vaccine mandate. RWJBarnabas Health announced in May that its workers had until the end of June to get inoculated. Those who lost their jobs over non-compliance also failed to present proof of medical or religious exemption, according to a statement from a company spokesperson.
