One person was rescued and five others were missing after a U.S. Navy helicopter crashed on Tuesday in the water off the coast near San Diego, according to military officials. The cause of the crash was not immediately clear. In a statement, the Navy’s Third Fleet said the helicopter “crashed into the sea” at 4:30 p.m. local time while it was conducting “routine flight operations” about 60 nautical miles off the coast.
