„Bridgerton“ hair and makeup designer Marc Pilcher, 53, had traveled to Los Angeles, where he won a Creative Emmy award, three weeks before he passed away.
The stars of Bridgerton have expressed their sadness, after the show’s hair and makeup designer, Marc Pilcher, died at 53 following a battle with COVID-19. Just weeks earlier, U.K.-based Pilcher—who, according to Variety, had taken two doses of a coronavirus vaccine—had traveled to Los Angeles, where he won an Creative Emmy award for his work on the hit Netflix show. While he was required to take multiple COVID tests to make his trip across the Atlantic for the September 11 ceremony, Variety reports that he fell sick soon after his return to the U.K. and passed away on Sunday. According to a statement shared by family and friends of Pilcher, he had no underlying health conditions. Nicola Coughlan, who played Penelope Featherington on Bridgerton, took to her Instagram and Twitter accounts to share a tribute to Pilcher on Monday. „So heartbroken by the loss of Marc Pilcher, the brilliant and visionary Hair and Makeup designer for Bridgerton Season One,“ she wrote. Marc was so passionate about his work and so tremendously talented. Not even a month ago he won his first Emmy award.
