Even celebrities aren’t immune from the coronavirus. Even a year after the pandemic hit the United States, celebrities are still being hit with symptoms and positive tests. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson were the first celebs to confirm they had contracted the disease in March 2020, and many other stars have also come forward to share their stories about testing positive. Here’s a list of the most recent stars that have COVID-19: Three members of K-Pop group BTS have tested positive: Suga,28, initially received a positive result, followed by bandmates RM,27, and Jin,29 a day later. “After returning on Friday the 17th from the United States following his personal schedule as part of his official vacation period, RM immediately underwent PCR testing, was found negative and entered into self-quarantine in his home as mandated by COVID-19 control procedures,” a statement read from the band’s management, per PEOPLE. “However, he underwent PCR testing [Saturday] before his scheduled release from quarantine and was found to be positive for COVID-19.” Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren,72, announced that she’d tested positive with a “breakthrough case” of COVID-19 on Sunday December 19. “Thankfully, I am only experiencing mild symptoms & am grateful for the protection provided against serious illness that comes from being vaccinated & boosted,” she tweeted. Sen. Warren also encouraged her followers to get vaccinated if they haven’t already, and she shared a link to the government website where her followers could get more information about the vaccine, including where to get it. “As cases increase across the country, I urge everyone who has not already done so to get the vaccine and the booster as soon as possible – together, we can save lives,” she wrote. New Jersey Senator Cory Booker shared that he’d tested positive on Saturday December 18. Like Sen. Warren, he said he’d only had mild symptoms and credited the COVID vaccine and his booster shot with helping him avoid feeling severely ill. “I’m certain that without them I would be doing much worse,” he said. The Democratic senator also encouraged others to get vaccinated and boosted, if they’re able to. “I encourage everyone who is eligible to get vaccinated and boosted,” he tweeted, along with the link to the vaccine website. “Hey everyone. I tested positive for Covid this morning. I’m not feeling amazing but I think the worst is behind me. I write you this update, feeling like complete ass, in hopes that you will be safe and careful this holiday season,” the singer tweeted in December 2021. “Love you and I’ll speak to you very soon.” Ed Sheeran took to his Instagram on Sunday October 24 to announce that he’d tested positive for COVID-19. The “Bad Habits” singer noted that he’d be following government guidelines and self-isolating as a result of the positive test. “It means that I’m now unable to plough ahead with any in person commitments for now, so I’ll be doing as many of my planned interviews/performances I can from my house,” he wrote in the post. “Apologies to anyone I’ve let down. Be safe everyone.” Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh tested positive for coronavirus, and the news was announced on Friday, Oct.1,2021. A press release confirmed Justice Kavanaugh’s diagnosis, and revealed that he had been vaccinated against the virus since Jan.2021. He had no symptoms, but learned of his diagnosis after a routine COVID-19 test before Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s ceremonial investiture. Kavanaugh’s wife and daughters tested negative after his positive test. Comedian Chris Rock is the latest celeb to reveal he has tested positive for COVID-19. “Hey guys I just found out I have COVID, trust me you don’t want this,” he tweeted. “Get vaccinated.” As fans would recall, Chris previously spoke to Jimmy Fallon about his vaccination status. “I’m two-shots Rock, that’s what they call me,” he said, before specifying he received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which only required a single-dose. “That’s the food stamps of vaccines.” On Aug.31, KISS released a statement and said that Gene Simmons, who is fully vaccinated, has tested positive for COVID-19 and he is experiencing “mild” symptoms. His bandmate Paul Stanley also tested positive for COVID-19 recently. “While Paul Stanley recently tweeted that he has recovered from COVID, Gene Simmons has now tested positive and is experiencing mild symptoms,” the band said in a statement. “The band and crew will remain at home and isolate for the next 10 days and doctors have indicated the tour should be able to resume on September 9th at FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA.” On the May 27,2021 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim Kardashian revealed that she and all of her kids — North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm West — “tested positive for COVID”. After Saint was the first to get sick, Kim “started experiencing some pretty intense symptoms while trying to keep studying for the baby bar”. “I’ve just been feeling so sick and awful with COVID that I can hardly get out of bed and study,” Kim admitted. “I thought that [just] making this decision to stick with law school was going to be hard and to do this test, but I had no idea that I was going to get COVID. Don’t Be Tardy stars Kim Zolciak-Biermann,42, and husband Kroy Biermann,35, have both tested positive for COVID-19, and are under a doctor’s care in Atlanta. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star shared an Instagram story photo of Kroy masked up while getting an IV treatment on March 3. Over it she wrote, “Hubby and I tested + for Covid A few days ago! Been a hell of a ride! Very thankful for our Dr’s and a HUGE thank you to [Chris Tuff] for keeping us healthy and Piedmont Infusion Center as well THANK YOU SO MUCH!!” Kim added, “You guys rock! Thank you for all you do. Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks have been married since 2005. Actress/comedian Niecy Nash will fill in as host for season five until Cannon,40, is cleared to return to the series, Variety reports. Nick is “currently in quarantine and resting,” his rep told the site on Feb.3. Shawn Johnson East is the latest celebrity to come forward with news of a positive Coronavirus test result. The British athlete is set to compete in the upcoming Australian Open, but is unable to fly on one of the official charter flights bringing players to the island nation for the event. “Andy Murray has advised that he has tested positive to COVID-19 and is isolating at home in the UK.
