A list of places seeking money, resources and volunteers to help people affected by Kentucky’s tornadoes.
Kentuckians are generous in a crisis, and this weekend was no different as people statewide asked how they could support those affected by devastating tornadoes. Officials in several counties say the best thing people can do is keep roads clear as emergency responders continue clearing debris and assessing damage. But nonprofits and community members have already begun collecting donations for families who’ve lost their homes and everything in them, through funds such as the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund. The nonprofit based in Atlanta is partnering with Louisville’s Change Today, Change Tomorrow to distribute food, water and cash vouchers to affected families. Donate to the tornado relief fund here. The disaster relief nonprofit based in Miami is sending trucks of supplies to western Kentucky, in partnership with Racing Louisville and Louisville City Football Club.
