NEW YORK — Police in San Francisco said an arrest was made in the cold case murder of a teenage girl from New York who was killed while visiting the city more than 40 years ago. In March 1978, Marissa Harvey,15, had traveled from New York to visit family in San Francisco but did not return from a day trip to Golden Gate Park. A day later, her body was found in Sutro Heights Park. Mark Stanley Personette,76, was arrested last week in suburban Denver on a homicide warrant after a joint investigation with San Francisco police and prosecutors, according to a statement Sunday from the FBI, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the San Francisco Police Department.
