Mountain View residents can get autonomous deliveries almost to their door.
7-Eleven and robotics company Nuro are teaming up to launch California’s first commercial autonomous delivery service. Customers in Nuro’s hometown of Mountain View can order online to have products dispatched to their home or office. Deliveries will use Nuro’s autonomous Priuses, all of which have a human operator in the driver’s seat to monitor the journey and ensure a successful, problem-free delivery.
