GLAAD is ready to crown the best in LGBTQ media representation. The organization which honors TV, movies, music and journalism for fair and accurate representations of LGBTQ people has announced which outlets in entertainment are in the running for championing queer identities for the 33rd annual GLAAD Media Awards. Winners will be selected during two GLAAD Media Awards ceremonies which will be held on April 2 at Los Angeles‘ Beverly Hilton and on May 6 at New York City’s Hilton Midtown. „There are more nominees this year than ever before, highlighting a growing landscape of LGBTQ visibility, and serving as a reminder to the critical role that film, television, music, journalism, and other forms of media can play in growing LGBTQ acceptance in the face of ongoing attacks against our community,“ GLAAD President & CEO Sarah Kate Ellis said in a statement.
