CDPR announced ‚a new saga‘ of The Witcher and a partnership with Epic Games as the studio moves to Unreal Engine 5.

We do have a couple more important details. First, this new saga is leaving the REDEngine behind. CDPR is moving to Unreal Engine 5 for the next Witcher games, and this is apparently much more than a new licensing deal. The studio will be collaborating closely with Epic Games on the next games in this series. “One of the core aspects of our internal RED 2.0 Transformation is a much stronger focus on technology, and our cooperation with Epic Games is based on this principle,” said CTO of CD PROJEKT RED, Paweł Zawodny in a statement.
