Netflix forced to axe 300 more jobs after subscriptions fall for the first time in a decade

Netflix has cut a further 300 staff after continuing to lose subscribers. It has lost 200,000 customers this year and by July expects this figure to rise to a staggering 2.2 million.
Netflix has been forced to let 300 more staff go due to falling subscriber numbers, according to BBC News. It comes just a month after the company laid off 150 people. The BBC’s estimates show that Netflix has sacked 4% of its workforce so far and more job losses could be on the table as the firm expects subscriber numbers to continue to fall. With pressure from rival services like Disney+ and Paramount+, Netflix has been missing out on customers as well as rights to shows.
