Authorities were called to the incident in the Chelsea neighborhood, described as a “domestic dispute,” around 11 a.m. on Saturday, where a woman told them she had been assaulted, the New York Police Department told multiple news outlets.
Police say officers “placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident.”
The woman was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for “minor injuries to her head and neck,” the NYPD reportedly said.
In a statement to Forbes, lawyer Priya Chaudhry said she plans to present evidence including “video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode, and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations,” which she believes will result in the charges filed against Majors being dropped.
