The US Supreme Court is considering whether to uphold a Texas judge’s decision to roll back FDA approval of mifepristone, a pill used in some abortions.
The Canadian government is ready to offer abortion pills to Americans if the US Supreme Court restricts access to the drug.
„We remain very committed to making sure that we can support American women if they need that access here,“ Canada’s Minister of Families, Children, and Social Development Karina Gould said in an interview with CTV’s Power Play.
Access to mifepristone — which is used in most abortions in the US — has been suddenly challenged after a Texas judge decided to roll back the FDA’s approval of the pill from 20 years ago.
