Xbox Game Pass Update Adds Former PS5 Console Exclusive

The latest update to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service adds a former PlayStation 5 console exclusive to the lineup.
As of today, Xbox Game Pass subscribers are free to try Ghostwire: Tokyo with their subscription. Ghostwire: Tokyo was developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda. Even though the game was launched after Microsoft finalized its acquisition of Bethesda, though, Ghostwire: Tokyo was actually a timed PlayStation 5 console exclusive for the first year of its existence.
Prior to Microsoft acquiring Bethesda, the Elder Scrolls and Fallout publisher signed some exclusivity agreements with PlayStation. These exclusivity agreements were honored even after the acquisition was complete, meaning Bethesda-published games like Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo were exclusive to PlayStation consoles for an entire year after their release. Ghostwire: Tokyo’s PS5 exclusivity window just came up, and so it’s now making its way to Xbox via Xbox Game Pass.
