How does the new Tata Nexon EV facelift compare against its popular predecessor? We find out all that’s new in this feature.
Tata introduced an update to one of its most popular models, the Tata Nexon last week. What accompanied the ICE version of this sub-compact SUV is the Tata Nexon EV variant which also comes with a host of features and new styling. The Tata Nexon EV Prime and Max have been replaced by Tata Nexon EV Medium Range (MR) and Long Range (LR) options. The MR comes with a 30kWh battery and 325Km range compared to Nexon EV Prime’s 30.2kWh battery and 312Km range. The LR on the other hand features a 40.5kWh battery similar to the last-generation model but upgraded 465Km range compared to 437Km thanks to lesser weight and better efficiency.
The new Gen 2 motor on the Nexon EV actually produces less power at 215Nm compared to 250Nm on the Nexon EV Max but both still go from 0-100Km/h in just under nine seconds. The new Nexon comes with V2V or V2L technology which can charge other EVs or even power up appliances from your Nexon EV’s charging port.
