Topher Grace is trending on Twitter because he is one of the only ‚That ’70s Show‘ cast members who did not write a letter in support of Danny Masterson in his rape trial.
After news broke that Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis were among the group of people who wrote letters in support of actor Danny Masterson during his rape trial, many That ’70s Show fans took to Twitter to praise series lead Topher Grace for not getting involved.
“Shout out to Topher Grace for not being a weirdo like the rest of the Thats 70s Show,” one fan tweeted.
“You know who ISN’T making a fool of himself in this case.. TOPHER GRACE, BLESS HIS UNPROBLEMATIC SOUL,” another fan wrote.
According to copies of their letters to Judge Charlaine Olmedo, which were obtained by journalist Tony Ortega, the couple highlighted Masterson’s parenting skills and shared anecdotes from their decades-long friendships to illustrate his “exceptional character” and sway the judge’s sentencing. Kutcher also maintained in his letter that he does “not believe [Masterson] is an ongoing harm to society.”
Masterson was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison on Thursday after being found guilty on two counts of forcible rape.
