Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty patch 2.01 has officially rolled out for PC and current-gen consoles.
CD Projekt Red had already confirmed last week that Phantom Liberty’s first post-launch patch would address performance issues and bugs, laying out a few of the highlights that players could expect when 2.01 did drop.
These updates include some much-needed performance improvements for both PC and current-gen consoles but particularly focus on the brand-new Dogtown district. Thanks to this latest patch, players shouldn’t experience any dramatic framerate dips while exploring Night City.
There was also the common issue of the corrupted save file bug on PS5 – which has thankfully been fixed by increasing the maximum save file size limit. A number of bugged quests for the base game have also been addressed, as well as the problem of some phone calls necessary to the main story being delayed.
For Phantom Liberty specifically, during the ‚You Know My Name‘ quest, Reed will now be shown wearing his party outfit during the dialogue with Songbird, and the issue where V would remain connected to the sniper nest, which blocked quest progression during an earlier section of the mission, has also been fixed.
After Phantom Liberty launched, the developer automatically disabled the game’s REDmod feature in order to avoid disruptive and game-breaking issues. You were able to turn mods back on, but at your own risk, however, with patch 2.01, there’s no need to worry as CD Projekt Red has now added full REDmod support to the expansion. You can check out the full patch notes below.
