Apple exorcized the Touch Bar so it wouldn’t haunt the Oct. 30 unveiling of its M3 processors.
Apple’s Oct. 30 „Scary Fast“ Mac announcement was filled with little spooky touches for Halloween, like skeletons, skulls, and black cats, plus plenty of dark shadows and moody lighting. From the color schemes to the music, the whole video presentation leaned into the Halloween angle, with macabre touches and spine-tingling flourishes. What makes it a bit curious is that Apple didn’t show the actual murder.
What murder? I mean the quiet offing of the 13-inch MacBook Pro. 
Yes, the 13-inch MacBook Pro is no longer with us. It’s been removed from the MacBook lineup on Apple.com. It’s no longer shown in those Mac family group shots and is disinvited from Thanksgiving dinner. Surely a shady-looking guy in a suit is hanging around Apple HQ hoping nobody asks where MacBook Pro 13 went.
As of now, the only MacBook Pro models listed on the Apple website are yesterday’s newly announced 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, outfitted with the brand-spankin‘ new M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max processors.
