The Optics line for the Ocular Cyberware slot is the only one in Cyberpunk 2077, and some players may be wondering if it goes up to Legendary rarity.
Players will find themselves visiting Ripperdocs pretty frequently in Cyberpunk 2077. After all, these are the ’skilled‘ specialists V will need in order to install all the various Cyberware they collect over the course of their adventures in Night City.
There are many different Ripperdocs scattered throughout Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City, each one offering different systems in their shops from hand mods to brain mods. One of them makes an appearance in the main story, Viktor Vector. With his rad piercings and ability to install Cyberware while wearing sunglasses, Viktor gives V new eyes that let them scan enemies. But, out of all the Optics systems available in the game, are there any in the category of ‚Legendary‘? Let’s take a look
Updated December 15th, 2023 by Jacob Buchalter: Originally, when this guide first came out, there were barely any Legendary Optics at all in Cyberpunk 2077. Outside of the 3 Kiroshi Optics, there wasn’t much else for V to slot into their eye sockets. However, in the massive amount of updates, fixes, patches, and now a DLC drop with Phantom Liberty, some more options have been added. They’re still all Kiroshi-brand Optics, but there are now unique variants of certain models similar to how there are unique variants of different cars. With that in mind, let’s see if any Legendary Optics exist in the game now and go over what Optics options players have as a whole. The Kiroshi Optics Line
First, it should be noted that there’s only one real manufacturer of Optic Cyberware in Cyberpunk 2077, Kiroshi. It used to be that there were more mods for Optic Cyberware than there were Cyberware options, but that’s no longer the case as of relatively recently (at least at the time of updating this). Up until Patch 2.0, Kiroshi Optics was still the only available option, but thanks to this Patch, players now have a lot more choices.
In any case, V can obtain the basic Ocular System very early on in the store called Viktor’s Clinic from the illustrious Viktor Vektor. From there, players can find some unique variants of different Kiroshi Options from specific Ripperdocs or as a reward from specific missions. Here are all the ones in the game as of the 2.
