A rep for the “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star confirmed to Page Six Thursday that he died after a months-long battle with lung cancer.
The spokesperson shared Braugher had been diagnosed with the deadly illness “a few months” prior to his death on Monday.
The publicist had previously told us that the beloved actor had died from a brief illness. He was 61.
He was best known for playing a Baltimore homicide detective named Frank Pembleton on the ’90s police procedural series “Homicide: Life On The Street.
