The recent leak from Insomniac encompassed tons of information on upcoming games from the developer, including concept art and even early gameplay footage from Marvel’s Wolverine. While this unfortunate leak contains a massive amount of unreleased details about plans for future game releases from Insomniac, interested fans can get a glimpse of what gameplay for Marvel’s Wolverine might look like. From the brief clips of in-development gameplay shown in these leaks, it seems like the game might be drawing inspiration from another popular PlayStation title for one area of Wolverine’s combat.
This major leak is the result of a ransomware cyberattack that resulted in the group responsible for the hack gaining access to sensitive information from the Spider-Man and Ratchet and Clank developer. A large chunk of the information gained is now leaking onto the internet and has been spread around social media for fans to dig into. While some fans are analyzing the leaked release plans that include a Venom game and future X-Men games after Wolverine, others have noted that the gameplay footage contains what appears to be combat where Logan is fighting while riding a motorcycle, which bears a resemblance to a segment from Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
