Co-creators Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin told GQ Magazine a second season of “The Last Of Us” will not be enough to cover the entire “Part II” game, though they haven’t disclosed how many further seasons are planned for the show.
The second season will reportedly begin production on Feb. 12 and will film in Vancouver, months after facing delays because of the writers and actors strikes.
The stars of the first season, Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal, are both set to return, despite false rumors that Ramsey would be recast because of the five-year time jump between the two “Last Of Us” video games.
The second season will likely air in 2025, HBO CEO Casey Bloys said in November.
