There aren’t many direct discounts for the S22, especially for the unlocked version, but you can take a look at some carrier offers that are worth checking out.
The Galaxy S22 series may’ve been eclipsed by the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 series, but the S22 is still a pretty powerful phone (as are most flagships that are just a generation or two behind). And it’s also a lot cheaper — if you can manage to find a deal. We’re not seeing any direct discounts on the S22 right now, but there are a few trade-in and carrier deals you can take advantage of.
If you’re coming in from the previous S21 generation, upgrading will score you a lot of cool features, most of which revolve around the camera. There’s a larger pixel sensor, better nighttime photography, and an improved portrait mode, with auto-framing that can handle up to 10 people.
If you want the best Samsung phone in the series, the S22 Ultra is the gadget to go for. We were particularly happy to see the inclusion of the S Pen, which used to be on the now-canceled Galaxy Note. The S23 also has similar upgrades to the camera system, and a couple of special ones, such as raw photo tools and Super Clear Glass lenses for better videos at night, so it’s a great phone to pick up if you love photography.
