Google is training Gemini on health data, and it’s creating a new AI model for the Fitbit app that can give advice tailored to your needs.
Google wants you to trust Gemini with your health. Fitbit is working with Google’s research division to create a new large language model (LLM) based on Gemini to provide Fitbit mobile app users with personalized data and health recommendations.
The new LLM for Google-owned Fitbit is „built on Gemini models“ and trained on „a de-identified, diverse set of health signals from high-quality research case studies,“ Google VP of Engineering and Research Yossi Matias says in a blog post.
The Fitbit AI, which Google calls Personal Health LLM, is being trained to give users „actionable messages and guidance“ based on their own data.
