Passive skills in Palworld are randomly generated for your Pals whenever you capture them and their effects are always active.
Passive Skills are the passive traits that affect your Pal in Palworld. These attributes provide buffs or debuffs to you or your Pal. Passive Skills, aside from some traits, are randomly assigned once you capture the Pal.
You can’t choose which Skill to get but you can influence the decision by breeding Pals with the desired Passive Effects. This does not guarantee the Skill but there is a higher chance of getting the desired Passive Skill in the offspring.
A Pal can only have a maximum of four Passive Skills at a time. All four of these traits are always unique since you can’t have duplicates. Unlike the Active Skills of your Pal, these Passive Skills can’t be swapped or turned off either so you are stuck with what you have.
Due to the random nature of Passive Skills, not every Passive skill in Palworld is beneficial. Some effects applied can be positive, negative, or a combination of both. Here is a list of all Passive Skills in the game so you can check out the effects you are looking for.
While you can’t have a copy of the same Passive Skill on your Pal, you can still get the opposites of the same trait. For example, you can get Ferocious Passive Skill, which boosts Attack by 20%, and Pacifist, which decreases Attack by 20%, on the same Pal.Negative Passive Skills in Palworld
