The No.1 golfer on the planet was arrested on Friday… and proceeded to shoot a 66 when he made bail.
In the midst of the year’s second major, the PGA Championship, at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, Scottie Scheffler found himself in hot water ahead of the tournament’s second day. He reportedly disregarded the orders of an attendant police officer while trying to navigate his way around a fatal accident in the early morning hours of Friday.
When he ignored the officer’s request to stop, Scheffler allegedly drove on — and the officer, Louisville Metropolitan Police Detective Bryan Gillis, grabbed a hold of the car. Scheffler is accused of dragging Gillis with him for several yards before ultimately stopping when he was subsequently placed under arrest.
