The pope is also hosting meetings with other leaders at the summit, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Mr. Biden and the pope kept their meeting private by closing it to reporters, though both sides promised they would release a statement about what they discussed.
