This landing spot gave them the opportunity to select star guard Caitlin Clark out of the University of Iowa, giving them some real firepower to work with. Clark is a star in her own right, but her success in college means nothing to the professionals in the WNBA. Like any player, Clark has had to earn the respect of those who came before her.
