A 10-month-old heifer was hit twice before it became trapped under the vehicle
The police officer filmed deliberately ramming a cow twice with his police car should “lose his job” over the “disgusting” incident, the partner of the farmer who owns it has said.
Footage shared widely on social media showed a police car driving into the animal, a 10-month-old breeding heifer called Beau Lucy, in Staines-upon-Thames in Surrey.
After the first strike, the car hit the animal for a second time, with the cow appearing to become trapped under the vehicle.
Kate, the partner of the farmer who owns the cow, called the footage “horrific” and told Sky News: “It looked like they tried to kill it.”
“Honestly, when I saw the video, I thought he should lose his job. I just thought it was disgusting, I couldn’t believe it,” she added.
