Kamala Harris aims to galvanize support in Georgia at a presidential campaign rally with a performance by Megan Thee Stallion.
Vice President Kamala Harris is set to hold a presidential campaign rally on Tuesday in Georgia, a battleground state Democrats are aiming to target with renewed hope.
Democrats have quickly rallied behind Harris after President Joe Biden announced that he was dropping out of the 2024 race a little over a week ago.
On Tuesday, Harris is set to demonstrate her campaign strategy with a high-profile rally in Atlanta. The rally marks a shift in the race against former President Donald Trump, as Harris aims to galvanize support with a star-studded event featuring a performance by rapper Megan Thee Stallion, reflecting her campaign’s focus on appealing to young, working-age, and nonwhite voters across Georgia and similar states.
Megan Thee Stallion joins a host of musicians who have recently come out in support of Harris as she has also earned endorsements from several pop-culture stars, including British artist Charli XCX, whose latest album Brat has become a branding tool for the vice president’s campaign.
Newsweek has reached out to Harris‘ campaign via email for comment.
However, this comes after Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, had a wave of public figures show their support for his reelection campaign during the Republican National Convention this month.
