Google Gemini is the search giant’s generative AI platform, and you can try it out now on any Android phone or tablet
Google didn’t spend any time talking about Android or teasing Pixels at this year’s annual I/O developer conference.
Instead, the entirety of the opening keynote was devoted to its AI efforts, primarily through Google Gemini; the multimodal LLM (large language model) it launched in late 2023 that’s now available to users across a myriad of platforms, provided you’re in a country where it’s available.How to get Google Gemini on your phone
If you’re in a supported country, Google Gemini is free to download from the Google Play Store. However, it’s worth noting that the unpaid tier isn’t available in certain regions, so you’ll have to pay £18.99/$19.99 per month if you want to use the app.
To download it, simply head to the Play Store and search for ‘Google Gemini’ tap ‘Install’ next to the relevant result.
