Intel Found The Root Cause Of Instability On Its 13th And 14th Gen Core Processors

Analysis of 13th and 14th Gen Core processors returned to Intel has reportedly revealed the root cause of the instability.
Over the last few months, reports of instability on Intel 13th and 14th Gen “Raptor Lake” Core i7 and i9 processors have run rampant. Users have been reporting the problem across various forums, we have reported on the issues on multiple occasions, and Intel has acknowledged it was investigating on its end. Back in June, Intel discovered an issue with Velocity Boost, and subsequently issued an update and suggested fixes, but the issues persisted. A number of third parties also suggested some BIOS level potential fixes, ultimately to avail. Most recently, a game developer suggested Intel was selling defective processors and an investigation by YouTube channel Level1Techs speculated that whatever the cause, it was unlikely to be fixable via microcode updates.
