After days of speculation, Lady Gaga and Céline Dion are set to perform together at the 2024 Olympics Opening Ceremony. Here’s the French classic they’re planning to sing.
The 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony is poised to be a historic event. The ceremony will take place on the Seine River instead of in a traditional stadium. Céline Dion is also set to perform for the first time since getting diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome in December 2022. Reports say that she’ll be be joined by another musical icon: Lady Gaga.
On July 25, one day before millions are set to tune into the international event kicking off the 2024 Olympics, French journalist Thierry Moreau shared on X that Dion and Gaga rehearsed a duet of “La Vie en Rose” by Édith Piaf. TMZ also confirmed the news.
“La Vie en Rose,” which translates to “Life in Pink,” was performed by the acclaimed French singer Édith Piaf.
